SLB helped a major production and logistics company in Ecuador address the challenge of restarting wells quickly after unexpected power supply interruptions. The customer needed to reduce downtime, avoid deferred production, and manage the operational and safety risks of remote well locations.

Using Lift IQ production life cycle management service and support from the Artificial Lift Surveillance Center, SLB monitored operations, remotely restarted 42 wells, and confirmed successful restarts after the outage. The wells were brought back online in a record 2.8 hours, or about 4 minutes per well, reducing deferred production by 72% and saving an estimated USD 190,000.
