Lift IQ Service Improves ESP Uptime by 33.6%, Reducing Deferred Production for NAOC

SLB worked with Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC) in Nigeria to address frequent production stoppages that were reducing profits and shortening ESP run life. The company needed a way to optimize ESP performance and keep wells running despite repeated shutdowns, restarts, flowline issues, power outages, and equipment malfunctions in remote fields.

SLB implemented its Lift IQ production life cycle management service with downhole monitoring and remote control capabilities, allowing engineers to monitor wells in real time and intervene remotely. Over three years, the solution improved ESP uptime by 122.5 days, eliminated 245 field visits, and enabled about 56,200 bbl of incremental liquids production at reservoir conditions, while also reducing HSE risk and deferred production.
