SLB helped a major operating company address low ESP uptime and deferred production in an offshore field where wells produced significant gas and solids. The company was dealing with frequent ESP stops and starts, gas lock, solids buildup, and overheating, which were harming equipment reliability and production.

SLB implemented the Lift IQ production life cycle management service to monitor and enhance ESP performance in real time, with 24/7/365 surveillance and remote diagnostics. As a result, ESP uptime increased from 85% to 95%, average starts per well per year fell from 14 to 5.4, and average ESP incidents per well dropped by more than half, with 497 critical events addressed over four years to avoid shutdowns and equipment failure.
