The Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) faced significant production challenges in its tight, complex carbonate reservoirs, which led to poor recovery factors. Partnering with SLB, KOC sought to improve recovery across three fields by leveraging an integrated evaluate-to-stimulate approach and proprietary technologies.

SLB implemented a tailored stimulation workflow using advanced diagnostics and engineered acidizing designs with its Kinetix Matrix and Petrel software. This solution resulted in a cumulative production uplift of 22,550 bbl/d across 17 wells, successfully addressing the reservoir challenges and leading to the expansion of the workflow across other mature assets.
