Invizion Evaluation Service Improves Zonal Isolation 70% in Eagle Ford Shale

SLB worked with Eagle Ford Shale to improve zonal isolation in a critical horizontal well and support precise fracture stimulation. The challenge was to design, execute, and assess cementing in the lateral while ensuring the BroadBand Precision integrated completion service sleeves were properly isolated.

SLB used its Invizion Evaluation well integrity service, supported by the tractored USI ultrasonic imager and cementing optimization tools, to evaluate cement placement, near-wellbore communication, and sleeve isolation. The result was approximately 88% of sleeves achieving more than 20 ft of isolation and 91% showing no near-wellbore communication, representing about a 70% improvement over conventional cement placement.
