SLB worked with a large onshore oil field operating company in the Middle East that wanted to drill a lateral section in one run while maintaining effective hole cleaning and minimizing connection time. The company also needed to reduce flat time caused by stuck-pipe risk, bottom-up circulation, and wiper trips, while improving rate of penetration and footage drilled.
