Total E&P Angola needed real-time bottomhole pressure data for an offshore exploration well test to support pressure transient analysis and optimize operations in a high-uncertainty, high-cost environment. SLB proposed its Signature quartz gauges with Muzic wireless telemetry to provide continuous downhole pressure and temperature measurements during the deviated well test.
SLB implemented the Signature gauges enabled by Muzic wireless telemetry to transmit pressure data wirelessly and uninterrupted to the surface, allowing real-time analysis and validation of test performance. The system delivered continuous real-time pressure data for 7 days, helping Total efficiently achieve all test objectives and confirming the accuracy of the transmitted data against memory-recorded measurements.
