High-Resolution, Real-Time Data Helps Venineft Complete Testing of Three Zones 2 Days Sooner than Planned

Venineft LLC needed to test three exploration zones in a high-flow-rate offshore reservoir near Sakhalin within a very limited operating window. High rig costs, harsh sea conditions, and the need to eliminate non-productive time while collecting high-quality data made the job especially challenging. SLB supported the project with a custom well test program that included real-time collaboration and interpretation tools such as RT Certain, PIPESIM, InterACT, TestingManager, and ArchiTest.

SLB designed and executed a data-driven testing workflow that connected Venineft with reservoir experts in real time to refine the test plan, optimize equipment selection, and improve decision-making during operations. As a result, the three well tests were completed in 18 days instead of the expected 20, with no NPT and higher-quality data than previous tests in the field. Venineft also achieved very high gas flow rates while completing the work safely, smoothly, and efficiently.
