EcoScope Service Acquires Real-Time Data to Guide Directional, Well Control in Narrow Mud Windows

Bowleven, an oil and gas group focused on Africa, needed high-quality real-time formation evaluation data to support wellbore assurance while drilling an appraisal well and two exploration wells offshore Cameroon. SLB provided the EcoScope multifunction LWD service to help manage narrow mud windows in a high-temperature environment and reduce drilling risks during the operation.

SLB used EcoScope multifunction LWD and APWD measurements to deliver real-time data for pore pressure evaluation, directional control, mud-weight planning, and well control management. This helped Bowleven obtain a complete set of real-time information, maintain verticality, penetrate all targets as planned, and reduce overall risk and cost while increasing safety.
