Early Production Facility Enables Building Remote Facility for Gente Oil Ecuador in 11 Months
SLB worked with Gente Oil Ecuador to address the challenge of building a produced water treatment and oil processing facility in the remote Amazon jungle of Ecuador. The project needed to handle extremely high water output from Singue Field while meeting environmental and operational requirements on a compressed timeline.
SLB used its OneSurface early production facility with standardized modular skids to streamline design, delivery, setup, and commissioning. The facility was delivered in a record 11 months, increased operational capacity by 200% to 35 Mbbl/d of fluid, enabled 20 Mbbl/d of water treatment for reinjection, and allowed 15 Mbbl/d of oil production while reducing water disposal costs and supporting environmental stewardship.
