ConocoPhillips Minimizes Downhole Time by Capturing Two Production Logs in Single Run
ConocoPhillips worked with SLB to better understand fracture and completion program effectiveness in Barnett Shale dry gas wells. The company needed long-term production monitoring to assess completion effectiveness, reservoir depletion, and zonal flow contributions, while also comparing the production monitoring capability of fiber optics against conventional methods.
SLB deployed the ACTive PS live CT production logging service to capture production logging and distributed temperature sensing measurements in a single run. This let ConocoPhillips obtain both DTS and Flow Scanner logs without making separate trips downhole, validating fiber-optic monitoring against wireline logs and reducing risk, cost, time, and one well intervention per well.
