SLB worked with Onshore Kuwait Equipment Company to address radioactive naturally occurring radioactive material (NORM) scale buildup in its electric submersible pumps (ESPs), which was causing mechanical failure risk, production interruptions, and costly well shut-ins and pump reconditioning.
