Aker BP Uses Digitally Connected Service to Improve Well Integrity Evaluation Operations in More than 50 Wells

Aker BP needed a cost-effective way to evaluate cement and casing condition in more than 50 wells in the North Sea before making decisions on P&A, sidetrack, and well intervention activities. SLB, then Schlumberger, proposed its Performance Live digitally connected service to support the well integrity logging program.

SLB implemented remote logging through the Bergen Performance Live Service Center, connecting Aker BP with experienced wireline engineers and domain experts for faster QC, processing, and interpretation of data. The result was successful execution of well integrity evaluations in 53 wells, improved collaboration and decision making, and a reduced onsite crew from six to four, lowering personnel on board, mobilization, and standby costs.
