ACTive Straddle Inflatable Packer Stimulates Multilateral Well in One Run

Kuwait Oil Company worked with SLB to address inefficient stimulation in a multilateral well, where conventional bullheading risked sending fluid into the wrong wellbore and caused significant rig downtime. The company needed a way to isolate and treat both the main wellbore and a lateral without multiple costly runs.

SLB used the ACTive Straddle CT real-time multiset inflatable packer to stimulate both zones in a single run. The solution restored production to 6,300 bbl/d, cut the job from 4 days to less than 2 days, and eliminated multiple runs, reducing nonproductive time and cost.
