ACTive PS Service Reduces Rig Operations by 10 Days During Plug Setting and Well Cleanout

SLB worked with Equatorial Guinea Drilling Company, which was operating offshore in Equatorial Guinea’s Guinea basin and facing limited deck space, crane constraints, logistical challenges, and difficult extended-reach wells with debris, low bottomhole pressure, scaling, and high H2S and water production. The company needed production logging, hydraulic plug setting, wellbore cleanout, and matrix stimulation while minimizing operational complexity.

SLB provided an integrated ACTive PS live CT production logging service with the PS Platform, Flow Scanner system, and ACTive live downhole coiled tubing services. The solution enabled real-time plug setting, depth correlation, cleanout, and logging, saving 10 days of rig operations, eliminating dummy runs, and reducing H2S and water production. SLB also reported a 25% reduction in total calculated operating hours versus a conventional wireline and CT intervention.
