VirtaMed, a Zurich-based developer of medical simulation hardware and software, faced challenges with inflexible, dongle-based licensing that required physical shipment for any changes. They partnered with SLASCONE to implement a modern, cloud-based licensing solution to achieve greater adaptability for their customers.

SLASCONE provided an API-driven solution that allows for online and offline activations, eliminating the need for dongles. This enables VirtaMed to instantly modify licenses remotely whenever a device connects to the internet. The solution, deployed on a private Azure instance in Switzerland, also integrates seamlessly with their existing Dynamics 365 Business Central system, providing full flexibility for current and future licensing models.
