Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) worked with Slalom to address challenges in protecting certification integrity as it managed large volumes of sustainability, certification, and compliance data. FSC’s existing system was not consistently identifying violators, and employees were spending too much time on manual data processing, all while preparing for new European Union Deforestation Regulation requirements.

Slalom helped FSC modernize its data and AI capabilities with a solution designed to improve scalability, strengthen fraud and compliance detection, and support faster processing. The result was a more future-ready system for FSC’s system integrity team, enabling better vetting of certificate holders and helping the organization support its mission across 50,000 certificate holders and more than 150 million hectares of certified forests.
