A Slalom Case Study
Unilode, which manages the world’s largest fleet of Unit Load Devices, needed a better way to track more than 170,000 assets and give customers real-time access to accurate location and usage data. Working with Slalom, the company also wanted to replace siloed information with a single, customer-facing view that could support analytics, reporting, and forecasting.
Slalom helped Unilode build a customer portal and centralized data platform on AWS and Databricks using a data lakehouse architecture. The solution gives customers access to KPIs, trends, drill-down details, and improved invoicing visibility, while enabling business intelligence and machine learning at scale. As a result, Unilode now has advanced analytics and forecasting capabilities, reduced IT spending, and increased customer satisfaction.
