SightLife, a global health organization, faced the challenge of scaling its mission to eliminate corneal blindness. Their data, collected manually via spreadsheets and paper logs by global partners, was cumbersome and prevented them from effectively telling their impact story to government officials to form new partnerships. To overcome this, they partnered with Slalom for a pro-bono engagement.

Slalom used a human-centered design approach to create an AWS-based data solution and Microsoft Power BI dashboards. This streamlined data collection and processing, saving valuable time and enabling SightLife to quickly gain insights and forecast progress. As a result of Slalom's work, SightLife estimates it will now end corneal blindness up to three months faster than its 2040 goal, preventing approximately 140,000 additional cases of blindness.
