Slalom partnered with Rainier Scholars, a nonprofit dedicated to providing educational access for low-income students of color, to address their outdated and unwieldy website and internal communication needs. The organization required a modern technology infrastructure to support its growth and long-term sustainability as it entered a new phase of success with its first college graduates.

Through its pro-bono Philanthropy Fellow Program, Slalom provided a consultant who delivered a comprehensive set of website redesign recommendations and a defined process. Instead of a single intranet, Slalom helped identify specific, cost-effective solutions for different needs, such as a learning management system for student communication and a file-sharing site for resources. As a result, Rainier Scholars was equipped with the necessary tools and strategy to build a new website to better achieve its goals and drive supporter involvement while leveraging existing software.
