Vanguard Charitable needed a CRM that could support both high-touch donor relationships and the financial requirements of donor-advised fund management and granting. Working with Slalom, the team evaluated Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC) and Salesforce NPSP, but needed a solution that could better handle their nonprofit and financial use case.

Slalom implemented FSC as the core platform and built additional nonprofit/granting capabilities on top of it, including support for illiquid complex asset donations and succession plans. The result was a flexible, largely native Salesforce solution that better aligned with Vanguard Charitable’s goals of providing more guidance and stronger relationship management with donors and grantee organizations.
