eBay's Global Talent and Organizational Development team faced a challenge managing the significant workload from numerous company-wide transformation initiatives, which was overburdening hundreds of stakeholders and threatening project timelines. To gain a holistic view of these competing priorities and employee capacity, they partnered with Slalom to move beyond ineffective spreadsheets and find a solution.
Slalom implemented a solution using a RACI model to quantify stakeholder effort and then co-developed an interactive Tableau dashboard to visualize initiative timelines and workloads. This provided eBay's leaders with clear, real-time insights, allowing them to rebalance assignments and adjust schedules to avoid peak burden times. As a result, stakeholder workload peaks leveled out, and the GT&OD team was set to deliver its transformations on schedule, with other eBay teams now looking to adopt Slalom's tool.
