Advocate Health Care, the largest healthcare provider in Illinois, faced a challenge in improving collaboration and unified communication across its vast network of associates and care sites. To address this, they partnered with Slalom to transition from an on-premises solution to a cloud-based strategy using Microsoft's Business Productivity Online Suite and Office 365.

Slalom implemented the solution by migrating users to Microsoft Exchange Online and then planning the full move to Office 365, which included enabling single-sign on through Active Directory Federation Services. This resulted in a smooth transition that saved the organization $1 million in IT costs, improved employee communication and collaboration, and facilitated better patient care through enhanced feedback tools.
