Improved financial aid access drives increased retention

RMIT University faced the challenge of making financial aid and student welfare support easier to access while improving visibility for advisors and leaders. Working with Slalom, the university implemented Salesforce, including Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud, to modernize its financial aid process and strengthen student support.

Slalom helped RMIT University create an online system that tracks every student interaction, enables real-time reporting, and automates outreach to at-risk groups. The results included a 60% increase in students seeking financial aid in the first term after implementation, better retention among students who sought help, and improved reporting for the academic board, reducing manual forms and spreadsheets for staff.
