Slalom partnered with Holland America Line to address a key challenge in the cruise experience. The customer needed to make booking shore excursions more convenient for its passengers by freeing its Shore Excursion Managers from their desks, allowing them to assist guests from anywhere on the ship.

To solve this, Slalom developed a beautiful and intuitive tablet app. This solution enabled managers to securely book excursions while moving around the vessel, providing guests with a visual, at-a-glance overview of available activities. The results included shorter lines at the desk, a significantly better guest experience, and broader reach for the managers, with one booking 35 tickets on the spot after a talk.
