The City of Los Angeles, led by the mayor's office, needed a solution to quickly track and communicate its COVID-19 recovery progress and health information to its residents. They had access to robust data but required support from vendor Slalom to present it in a clear and actionable way, leading to a pro bono project co-funded by Tableau.

Slalom consultants designed and deployed two Tableau dashboards to visualize the city's health metrics and reopening status. The solution provided transparent, real-time data to both the public and decision-makers, featuring high-level statistics and detailed metrics, including the ability to track trends and analyze the equity impact on vulnerable residents. This enabled efficient communication of the city's recovery status and helped mobilize support where it was needed most.
