Case Study: Carhartt drives empathetic large-scale transformation with Slalom

A Slalom Case Study

Preview of the Carhartt Case Study

Carhartt The human side of large-scale transformation

Carhartt, an iconic workwear company, faced the massive challenge of managing the people side of a large-scale digital and business transformation, known as Project Catalyst. This initiative included migrating to SAP S/4HANA and moving to the cloud, which would directly and indirectly impact thousands of employees. To prepare its workforce and ensure user adoption, Carhartt engaged Slalom to provide a strategic change management approach and develop the right training tools.

Slalom partnered with Carhartt to map processes and analyze over 250 business changes stemming from the SAP migration. They co-developed a comprehensive 11-month training roadmap with outlines for 71 courses and provided key tools like RACI training and a leading with empathy workshop. The results equipped Carhartt with a clear path forward, including detailed change plans and tracking tools, successfully preparing their teams for the transformation and positioning the project significantly ahead of schedule.
