A Slab Case Study

Carrot Fertility - Customer Case Study

Carrot Fertility, a San Francisco–based employee benefits company, faced a growing problem: its engineering team relied on ad hoc, non-standardized procedures and tribal knowledge stored in shared drives, which wasn’t scalable—especially for a remote-friendly team. To fix this, Carrot adopted Slab to create a centralized internal wiki and living documentation platform.

Using Slab, the team standardized templates, enabled version histories, and encouraged asynchronous editing and commenting, turning documentation into a scalable, accountable process. In just three months they accelerated new document creation, made content easier to find, reduced cognitive load, and increased team buy-in—Slab became the engineering team’s primary tool for collaboration and maintaining up-to-date processes.
