Progress Software Embeds SL’s Enterprise RTView to Deliver a Customizable, Real-Time Dashboard Interface for Customers Using Event Processing Functionality

Progress Software, maker of the Apama complex event processing platform used in algorithmic trading and capital markets, needed a way to turn high-volume, millisecond event streams into meaningful, customizable real-time dashboards for traders and business users. The platform’s initial UI relied on tables and lacked visual, interactive tools; Progress faced tight schedules, strict sub-second performance requirements, and the resource burden of building and maintaining bespoke dashboards for each customer.

Progress embedded SL Corporation’s Enterprise RTView to deliver a high-performance, configurable dashboard builder with an open architecture, multiple deployment options (Java Web Start and rich web client), and OEM-focused support. The integration produced Apama Dashboard Studio, delivered ahead of schedule (first release March 2006), drove strong customer interest and rapid adoption, and made real-time analytics a standard part of Apama demonstrations.
