Hill’s Pet Nutrition faced a challenge: pet parents were increasingly turning to search for care and nutrition advice, and the brand needed a way to fill gaps in its communications and become the trusted online resource those owners relied on. To meet this need Hill’s U.S. marketing team partnered with Skyword to launch Pet Care Center, a branded blog offering practical, science-backed guidance for cat and dog owners across the full pet parent journey.
Skyword led a search-driven content strategy—keyword research, competitive analysis, contributor recruitment (passionate pet owners plus accredited DVMs), editorial and production management, and regular content production—so Hill’s could own key pet-care queries. The results: Pet Care Center topped 1 million monthly organic search views in 2019, saw a 188% YoY increase in search views from 2019–2020, pays for itself within the first three months annually, and now powers personalized email campaigns and global distribution to teams in 30 countries.
