Cherry Hill Park, a large campground near Washington, D.C. offering a general store that sells beer and wine, adopted the Skyware Hospitality System from Skyware Hospitality Solutions as its property management solution in 2017. Faced with five registers using hand-held scanners and hundreds of daily transactions, management wanted a way to ensure staff consistently followed Maryland liquor laws and the park’s internal policy to prevent alcohol sales to minors.

Skyware Hospitality Solutions developed an Age Verification feature in its point-of-sale module that automatically pauses any beer or wine sale, prompts staff to enter the customer’s date of birth and will not complete the transaction without that entry. Implemented across all registers, the system enforces ID checks on every alcohol sale, giving Cherry Hill Park reliable, consistent compliance, reducing the risk of fines or liquor‑license penalties and improving staff adherence to policy.
