A Skyward Case Study
Monroe County School District (enrollment 5,000+) faced the unexpected challenge of converting to a new student information system just as the COVID-19 pandemic began. With attendance, reporting, and family communication strained by remote and hybrid learning needs, the district moved forward after board approval in February 2020 and selected Skyward as their new SIS provider to help manage those demands.
Skyward delivered a virtual implementation with dedicated project management, training, and its Family Access and Student Management Suite tools, enabling Monroe County to go live for the 2020–2021 school year and reach timeline goals faster than originally planned. The district saw faster grade posting, simpler attendance and reporting, improved import/export and data-mining capabilities, and a centralized communication hub that supported a 1:1 rollout for grades 5–12 and hybrid learning — outcomes made possible by Skyward’s support.
