Oak Hill United School Corporation (enrollment: 1,586) faced a failed SIS rollout after selecting a competing vendor in 2013 that left teachers unable to enter grades and caused widespread implementation problems. Seeking a reliable, modern system and smoother implementation, Oak Hill revisited and selected Skyward’s Student Management Suite in spring 2014 to replace the problematic solution.

Skyward implemented its Student Management Suite with a structured rollout and strong support, delivering faster adoption and happier core users—secretaries, teachers and counselors—and enabling new workflows like period attendance, attendance auto-dialing with School Messenger, and separate Family Access logins. The Skyward solution transformed state reporting (changing the process “180 degrees”), reduced labor through online registration, streamlined attendance tracking and schedule changes, and improved recruitment/retention by giving staff the tools they want.
