Consolidated High School District 230, an Illinois district serving about 7,800 students, needed to improve parent engagement, student ownership of learning, and streamline fragmented gradebook, attendance and discipline systems. To address these challenges the district turned to Skyward, deploying its Student Management Suite and Family Access as the district’s primary communications and student information platform.

Skyward’s Family Access centralized HR/financial/student management and enabled two-way messaging between parents, students, teachers and staff, with about 10,000 parents regularly logging in and well over one million messages generated. As a result Skyward helped District 230 increase parent involvement (over 90% of students accessed final grades within two weeks), improve attendance and reduce tardiness, speed disciplinary responses, and eliminate manual phone chains for coaches—delivering measurable gains in engagement and operational efficiency.
