G4S, the world's largest security company, commissioned Skymatics to aid its Facilities Management team in completing roof inspections for its assets on the Hinkley Point C project. The challenge was to safely inspect roofs across multiple site offices and associated development sites, a task that traditionally involved higher-risk operations like working at height and mobilizing large equipment near busy pedestrian areas.

Skymatics utilized its drone capabilities, specifically the DJI Matrice 300 RTK with an H20 payload, to provide a safer and more cost-effective inspection solution. This approach minimized disruption and eliminated the need for riskier traditional methods. All assets were successfully and safely inspected, delivering high-quality HD video and imagery. The client was so impressed with the data quality and lack of site disruption that they asked Skymatics to continue these inspections on an annual basis.
