The YMCA Sheds Old Bulletin Boards for Easy-To-Use Digital Signage for Community Updates

The YMCA of the North Shore, serving 45,000 members across 27 communities, struggled to keep members informed using cluttered bulletin boards and static postings. To improve awareness of schedules, events and announcements, the YMCA turned to Skykit’s digital signage solution to present, manage and dynamically control messaging across its facilities.

Skykit provided templating, scheduling and remote management so staff can import photos, videos, schedules and live feeds and publish targeted content to specific screens from any device. The YMCA deployed its first display in early 2016 and added five more by the end of the quarter, with additional screens rolled out through the year—delivering simpler operations for non-technical staff and more timely, relevant communications across the association.
