NEMEON Levels the Playing Field for Distributors with Skykit Digital Signage

NEMEON, a purchasing cooperative for independent lumber and building materials distributors, needed a way to help smaller dealers compete with national chains by improving in-showroom communication and keeping product information current. To give coop members an easy, scalable way to display changing supplier content, NEMEON selected Skykit’s cloud-based digital signage CMS and display solution.

Skykit deployed a bundled system — commercial displays, a Chromebox, a Skykit professional license, professional installation and a tailored Digital Signage Administration site — so members can schedule videos, news, weather and product specials in real time. Skykit is now in place at more than 100 supplier locations across the U.S. and Canada (with targets for 250 and 550 installs in 2019–2020), and members report measurable results, including frequent sales spikes when special-order products are featured and “sales go through the roof” after showing product info not in the catalog.
