U.S. Secret Service launches DFR in seconds with Skydio

The U.S. Secret Service sought to enhance its protective operations by gaining faster real-time situational awareness during critical events. The agency partnered with Skydio to implement a Drone as First Responder (DFR) program using the Skydio X10 drone and Skydio Dock remote launch system.

Skydio's solution enabled agents to launch a drone remotely within seconds, providing an aerial perspective to spot potential threats before they could escalate. This allowed the Secret Service to expand its security perimeter and utilize its pilots as a force multiplier, no longer requiring them to be physically present at every location.
