Pasco County Sheriff’s Office deploys over 20 drones a day with Skydio

The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office sought to expand its drone program beyond initial tactical and special event uses to a more integrated and responsive model. Their challenge was to scale the program to provide rapid aerial support for in-progress emergency calls across a large geographic area, moving away from a limited, call-out team approach.

Skydio provided the solution by enabling a patrol-led Drone as First Responder (DFR) program. As a result, the agency now deploys over 20 Skydio drones daily directly from patrol vehicles. This has scaled their operation from a small team to a widespread force, allowing for immediate response to calls for service and significantly enhancing their emergency support capabilities.
