Pasco County Sheriff’s Office conducts 24,045 drone flights with Skydio

The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office faced the challenge of providing tactical and patrol support across a large and diverse county with limited resources. Their helicopter support was often too costly or impractical for quick deployment. To address this, they turned to Skydio to implement a drone program using the Skydio X2, X10, and Dock.

The Skydio solution provided thermal imaging and autonomous navigation for critical operations. This resulted in the safe recovery of a missing child, the location of suspects during pursuits, and assistance in wildfire evacuations. The program significantly reduced the need for costly helicopter flights, with the agency now conducting over 171 flights per month. Skydio drones have become an integral tool for enhancing deputy and community safety.
