The customer, Jason Underwood Design, a mechanical engineering firm, required analysis of a 6-meter-long truck chassis to ensure its safety under heavy payloads. Their challenge was to verify that the chassis rails, constructed from high tensile steel, could safely support payload weights of up to 8 tonnes. They utilized SkyCiv Beam from vendor SkyCiv for this project.

The solution successfully ensured the chassis design met the required high safety standards, including a factor of safety of 2.5 for the 540 MPa steel components. This analysis by SkyCiv gave the engineers confidence in the structural integrity and safety of the truck rig under its maximum load conditions.
