Southeastern U.S. based Flatbed Carrier Company, a 20+ year-old flatbed trucking firm serving the Southeast, Midwest, Southwest, and Eastern Seaboard, needed better visibility and theft protection for its trailers and cargo. Its in-cab GPS approach wasn’t sufficient for a fleet that relied heavily on owner-operators, and it also needed a true flatbed-friendly tracking solution that could be discreetly installed and integrated with its existing TMS. SkyBitz was selected to address these challenges, using its Falcon series trailer tracking platform.

SkyBitz implemented the Falcon series with Smart Sensor Tracking (SST) reporting, giving the carrier features such as panic mode, lock down, hook/unhook events, custom landmarks, and arrival/departure notifications. The result was faster trailer recovery, including one six-figure load and trailer stolen and recovered within hours, plus other thwarted theft attempts aided by real-time coordination with law enforcement. SkyBitz also improved ETA/PTA visibility, detention billing, and overall fleet efficiency across 700 trailers, helping the system pay for itself after just one major incident.
