DriveLine International, a South Texas trucking company serving the maquila industry along the U.S./Mexico border, needed a trailer tracking solution with broad coverage to help recover stolen trailers and protect customer cargo. The company’s challenge was finding a system that could reliably track assets across the United States, Mexico, and Canada while meeting customer security concerns. SkyBitz’s InSight Tracking and Global Locating System (GLS) Platform was tested to address these needs.

After a three-month trial, DriveLine International installed SkyBitz units across its entire fleet of 150 trailers. SkyBitz helped improve fleet efficiency and delivered a return on investment in less than six months, while also enabling the recovery of stolen trailers. In one case, SkyBitz’s panic feature helped pinpoint a stolen trailer in Mexico and guided law enforcement to a chop shop, where they recovered the trailer plus 12 other stolen trailers, demonstrating the effectiveness of SkyBitz’s trailer visibility and tracking solution.
