Colorado Department of Transportation wins 5 awards and 100+ submissions with Skipso

The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) worked with Skipso to facilitate public innovation challenges aimed at improving road safety. Their RoadX initiative sought to source technologies to address specific issues, including a high rate of fatalities on rural roads and another challenge focused on the safety of cyclists and pedestrians.

Skipso provided its modular innovation management software platform to manage the end-to-end workflow of these challenges. The platform enabled easy submissions and evaluations. As a result, the Rural Road Safety Challenge received well over 100 submissions, and the Bicycle and Pedestrian Challenge was also highly successful, awarding several winners with funding to build proofs of concept for their innovative ideas.
