UTEC Survey, an Acteon company and one of the world’s largest independent surveying firms, had 380 employees—70% working offshore—making classroom training costly and impractical. The company needed a global eLearning strategy to standardize skills development, support career progression, and ensure access to essential compliance and third‑party certification training from anywhere.
UTEC implemented Skillsoft’s Skillport 8 and launched the UTEC Virtual College, giving staff mobile and offline access to aligned learning resources, mapping individual progress to company frameworks, and using a New Habit Calendar to drive self‑directed learning. The program enabled universal access for onshore and offshore teams, achieved 95% completion of mandatory anti‑bribery training, and encouraged the L&D team to pursue producing 20 tailored training programs per year.
