The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC), the third-largest public transit utility in North America with about 11,500 unionized employees, needed a scalable, financially viable way to move beyond instructor-led business and desktop training and deliver accessible, modern learning across its workforce.
Using Skillsoft’s platform, TTC launched eDEV—an online learning library—and later added Skillsoft Leadership Advantage and a blended curriculum of online courses, workbooks, live events and webinars. In year one eDEV recorded 1,198 users, 9,254 logins, 6,000+ resources launched, 3,000 learning hours, multiple certificates and 105+ eDEV Champion certificates (over half to unionized staff); Leadership Advantage filled all 200 seats within 10 days.
