A Skillsoft Case Study
The PGA of America, the world’s largest sports organization representing 28,000 golf professionals and supporting a $65 billion industry, faced declining participation and launched a Golf 2.0 blueprint to drive growth. A key challenge was a generational gap: the PGA needed to capture veteran professionals’ institutional knowledge and rapidly develop younger members’ skills to sustain the game and the business.
Partnering with Skillsoft, the PGA built a custom curriculum with an intuitive user experience and a “Next Step” continuum aligned to certification and career goals, validated by industry experts and delivered as a just-in-time, personalized solution. The program produced strong business impact: a 5.14:1 return on investment, a Get Golf Ready initiative that returned $58 for every $1 at the course level, and an average increase in golf income of $1,069 per participant.
