Security Service Federal Credit Union (SSFCU), the largest credit union in Texas with 70 branches and 1,700 employees across Texas, Colorado and Utah, faced the challenge of training a geographically dispersed workforce on a complex portfolio of products and services. SSFCU partnered with Skillsoft to build a formal learning strategy around four career paths and adopted Skillport, blending classroom courses with 24/7 eLearning and customized content (compliance, IT/Desktop videos, books, digital skills and SkillStudio modules). Within a month SSFCU recorded 9,000 log-ins and 3,000 course completions (over 90% employee usage) and realized a 2-percentage-point drop in turnover, saving about $300,000.
