Informatics Merseyside - Customer Case Study

Informatics Merseyside, hosted by Mersey Care NHS Trust, provides IM&T services across the regional health and social care economy and links strategy and innovation to clinical and business needs. Facing the need for highly specialised, cost‑effective training that offered greater flexibility than traditional classroom courses, the organisation sought a personalised learning approach tailored to informatics roles and individual development plans.

Using Skillsoft’s eLearning platform, Informatics Merseyside delivered role‑specific learning pathways, a library of specialist resources and mentoring, with all activity mapped to Personal Development Plans and tracked centrally. In the pilot, 86% of participants reported increased knowledge and skills and 89% said it helped them meet PDP milestones, and the programme won the Informatics Skills Development Network’s Staff Development Award.
