How IVMF Helped 10,123 Military-Connected Individuals Earn Professional Certifications

The Institute for Veterans and Military Families at Syracuse University (IVMF) supports post-9/11 veterans, active-duty service members, and their spouses through its Onward to Opportunity (O2O) program, which helps participants earn professional certifications and transition into civilian careers. To better serve these busy adult learners with diverse backgrounds and goals, IVMF looked for a more flexible, personalized learning approach and used Skillsoft’s AI-powered learning platform.

Skillsoft helped IVMF design learning experiences that better matched each learner’s needs and career path, supporting training and certification prep in areas like HR, project management, and IT. As a result, the O2O program has reached 76,350 veterans to date, and has helped 10,123 military-connected individuals earn professional certifications.
